Cabin People

Almost a month ago (this has become my blog life, posting a month or more after the featured event happened) my family and I decided to take one last trip up to our cabin. It's almost impossible to get to our cabin in the winter, so we try to take advantage of it as much as possible during the warmer months.

We spent most of our time inside the cabin, since it was so cold. But we couldn't resist a few snowball fights...

There was a lot of coloring...

and a lot of "scary" story telling...

I always love hearing my dad's stories, they're my favorite.

The next morning was spent capturing the small details around the cabin, waking up slowly, playing MASH, and eating pancakes.

Oh, and looking for animals, of course.

Then we headed up to the top of our property, where another inevitable snowball fight took place.

 Incoming!

This was him in the middle of his growl/ chasing the kids...

 I just love this photo.

And then... the worst thing happened. Little Henry was hit...

But the heroes never get hit! He couldn't believe it!

I absolutely love going to my cabin, the tranquility, solitude, and untouched beauty of our land recharges my batteries like nothing else.

Until next year...
