What Holiday?

Like I have said before, my blogging life has fallen a month behind real life. I'm not even sure when this happened, I actually have posts from the Summer that may never be published. So, here I am, a month late, posting about Halloween... the week of Thanksgiving.

Lauren

and I were invited to attend "

Deep Love: A Ghostly Folk Opera

" on Halloween and decided to make a night of it. Before the show, we headed to a restaurant in downtown SLC called

Pallet

. This place is fantastic! I highly recommend it. They offer a very personalized experience, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere charming.

As we were enjoying our food, the restaurant was suddenly filled with a gang of panda bears. It was slightly creepy to see them all walking up the ramp, through the windows. I couldn't resist snapping this picture of them... Pandas deep in conversation, what's not to love... or be creep-ed out by?

Not only is the food at

Pallet

divine, but the atmosphere is as well. It was perfect for our Halloween night.

After dinner, we headed over to the theater. We sat and chatted with friends beforehand, then enjoyed the show. Deep Love is a work of art, I thoroughly enjoyed it and could have watched it all over again, right then and there. The set and costumes are simple, it's all about the story and music- which are both more than enough to entertain anyone. It really is more of a rock concert than an opera, they even encourage the audience to whoop and hollar.
