The National Zoo
A few weeks ago I spent an afternoon at
. This Zoo is a great place for a family outing or for those
. Like a lot of things in DC it is free to attend
, which is a big plus. It was also cherry blossom season, so the trees were in full bloom, just adding to the overall experience. We were lucky enough to catch it on a beautiful, sunny day with minimal crowds.
That lovely lady in the photo above is the oldest primate in the zoo. I felt like she was looking right into my soul. I also couldn't get enough of the cuddly meerkats and baby tiger. The cheetahs put on a great show- chasing each other around and even being teased by the next door zebras. My nephews and their friends had a great time and I loved having a day outside exploring and soaking up a little, long overdue vitamin D.
What is your favorite place to visit or where would you like to visit in DC? What should be my next stop?
P.S. The winner of the Albion Fit $50 gift card giveaway is Liberty Thompson! Congrats, lady!
