Make Your Own Masque With The Benefits Of Almond Milk

Our skin takes quite a beating during the Summer months, it's important to look after it and keep it fresh. So I've come up with a nourishing masque you can make at home to soothe and refresh your skin using the

benefits of almond milk

. Follow the masque recipe below and then whip up the smoothie recipe at the bottom of this post for a total rejuvenation- inside and out. I picked up both the

Silk Almond Milk Protein + Fiber

and the

Silk Almond Coconut Blend

at my local Safeway, but for both of these recipes I used the coconut blend.

In a blender or food processor, mix:

1/2 cup Almond Milk

1 tbsp raw honey

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup blueberries

Cleanse your face and remove all makeup. Exfoliate gently with a soft exfoliant. Then apply the masque to your face, but avoid the eyes. Leave the masque on for ten minutes, wipe away with a paper towels, then rinse your face. Apply a moisturizer and sunscreen to make sure the benefits of the masque are long lasting.

My nieces saw me whipping this concoction up and were so excited to join. This was their first masque experience and they loved it. They always love joining in my beauty treatments. I loved hearing their reaction after taking the masque off, "my skin is so soft" they exclaimed. This masque will definitely be the perfect thing to soften and soothe that thick, summer skin.

While your masque is sitting, you may as well whip up a delicious Silk Almond Milk smoothie to sip on. I combined 1/2 cup of

Almond Milk

with a frozen banana and some chocolate powder. It was amazing and so refreshing.

Both of these

are the perfect way to cool down on those hot summer days. Plus, almond milk is delicious, so really, how can you not love taking a little moment to yourself? I would love to know if you try either of my recipes.
