^don't judge me for taking pictures of the unsealed box... I wasn't ready to tape it up, yet... haha
Living thousands of miles away from your best friend is not easy... Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I moved across the country. But Thanks to technology, Lauren (from Love, Lo) and I are able to stay in touch, daily. However, sometimes that just isn't enough... sometimes we need to give extra to help to lift each other's spirits.
A couple weeks ago, Lauren and I decided it would be fun to send each other a care package. She has never been to Maryland or DC, so I wanted to send her some things from here. I grabbed some souvenirs from my work, gathered some treasures from the beach (I know she LOVES the beach/ ocean), some pyrite from the Museum of Natural History in DC, some extra gum (get it? give extra!) and a couple other items from some of my favorite "Maryland" brands.
I had so much fun putting this package together for Lauren, I hope she loves everything and has a great time going through it. Do you have someone you like to do package swaps with? They are such a personal way to stay in touch.
Be sure to take some time and give a little extra to those who mean the most in your life; I know you'll get extra in return.
