Easter is (somehow) just right around the corner, and that means it's time to get hoppin' on your Easter celebration ideas! I was shopping at Walmart the other day and came across the new
. They looked so good, I couldn't resist grabbing a couple bags and creating a cute little
for you. I wanted this to be a gift that would be great to give anyone - teachers, friends, your kids, etc.
For my basket, I decided to go with a miniature theme, including my miniature Popcorn Sundae Treats. They're like a tiny version of a big ice cream sundae... minus the ice cream. I also threw in some little plants and other small candies like the 12oz Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans, and the 23.5oz Easter Mixed Brand Chocolates (package includes SNICKERS®, DOVE®, M&M’s®, TWIX®, MILKY WAY®, 3 Musketeers®). It's the perfect gift this Easter Season, and keeps things light and simple.
To make the Popcorn Sundae Treats, you will need:
6 cups Popcorn
2 cups White Chocolate Chips
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
2 8oz bags M&M’s® Easter Sundae
2 tbsp Sprinkles
2 cups Buttercream Frosting
Directions:
Pop two bags or 6 cups of popcorn and pour it in a large bowl or pot. Add in the M&M’s® Easter Sundae and sprinkles, then set aside. In a sauce pan over low heat, melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil - stirring constantly. As soon as it has melted, pour it over the popcorn. Stir all of the ingredients together, coating everything in the white chocolate. Once it has cooled, form it into balls and place them in cupcake liners. Top it with some buttercream frosting and a few sprinkles and serve.
To make the Easter Gift Basket, you will need:
Popcorn Sundae Treats
A Small Basket
Tissue Paper or Paper Grass
A Miniature Mason Jar
A Small Plant or Two
Brown Paper Tag
Scissors
Marker
String
Candy
Directions:
Fill your basket with a layer of tissue paper or paper grass. I went with tissue paper because 1 - this paper is too cute, and 2 - it was less messy. Next, fill your miniature mason jar with 12oz Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans, then close the lid, tightly. Carefully place the mason jar, tiny plant, and Popcorn Sundae Treat in the basket, then fill any extra space with 23.5oz Easter Mixed Brand Chocolates. Fill out your brown paper tag, then tie it onto the outside of the basket with the string and trim the ends.
This basket is so fun and simple to put together, and it's really made easier with 8oz bags M&M’s® Easter Sundae and 12oz Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans. Some other treats that would be fun to use for gifting this Easter Season would be the 12oz DOVE® Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny, 4.5oz DOVE® Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny, or the 11oz Easter M&M’s® Milk Chocolate.
