We're well into the Fall season and Winter is just around the corner. If you're anything like me, the change from season to season can make you want to rebuild your wardrobe from the ground up. But that's just not practical! So, when I stumbled upon
products at Walmart, I realized that all my Fall/Winter wardrobe needed was a little sprucing up. So, here are my top 5 tips for getting your wardrobe Fall/Winter ready without breaking the bank...
Tip 1 - Thrift Your Sweaters
All of my favorite sweaters have come from thrift shops. There's something about that "grandpa" style cardigan or the oversized funnel-neck sweater that I can't get enough of! Plus, thrifting is not only good for your bank account, it's also great for the economy and environment! #upstyle
Tip 2 - Wear High Waisted Jeans
High waisted jeans look amazing with oversized sweaters. They elongate your legs and help to balance the bagginess of your favorite cardigan or pullover. I tuck in my t-shirts and top them with a chunky cardigan for a go-to Fall/Winter look.
Tip 3 - Remove Pilling
There's nothing worse than a favorite sweater becoming the victim of pilling. But never fear - Scotch™ Essentials Sweater Pill Remover to the rescue! Simply use both sides of the Scotch™ Essentials Sweater Pill Remover to gently remove any pilling and make those sweaters look like new!
Tip 4 - Hem Your Jeans
It can be hard to get that perfect boot cuff and make it stay in place. That's where Scotch™ Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape comes into play. Simply cuff your jeans once, place the Scotch™ Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape at the bottom of the hem, then roll the hem one more time and press it into place. Your cuff will stay put and look perfect with every pair of boots you own.
Tip 5 - Weather Proof Your Boots
As you can tell by these pictures, I did not weather proof my favorite booties and by doing (or not doing) so, I have basically ruined them. Had I taken the time to weather proof my favorite boots, I would have only spent $7 in product rather than possibly spending another $150 to replace them. #liveandlearn
I hope you enjoyed my top 5 tips for prepping your Fall/Winter wardrobe! I'd love to hear any tips you might have that I have missed.
