I am always on the hunt for a delicious and nutritious breakfast option, because for me, that is the hardest meal of the day! So when I read about Pichuberry Puree, I knew I'd found my new go-to. It's sweet - just like other berries - and is so versatile, it's perfect for mixing into smoothies, or other recipes.

The Pichuberry is native to the highlands of Peru, and is an amazing source of Vitamin E, A, P, and the B-complex vitamins - B1, B6, and B12. By eating only 3 ounces of this power fruit, you’ll meet 37 *percent of your daily required vitamin A, 13 percent of your required niacin, 18 percent of your recommended vitamin C, and 39 percent of your vitamin D requirement. Pichuberries also have a high content of phenolic compounds, which are a natural antioxidant.

I decided to use Pichuberry Puree, which I found at my local Walmart in the frozen berry section, to create a breakfast that would be good for me, while also satisfying my early morning sweet tooth. This Berry Breakfast Pie is so easy to make, and I must say, it's absolutely delicious! If your mornings are always rushed, you could probably even freeze the pie beforehand, so it's ready whenever you are.

*Percent daily values are based on a 2,000-calorie diet.

I'd love to know if you give this recipe a try! Be sure to check and see if Pichuberry Puree is available at your local Walmart Store or Walmart Grocery!
