Exploring the Australian Capital Territory Pt. 2
On our second day exploring Canberra, we took a picnic into Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Not that Kangaroos are scarce here in Australia, but Tidbinbilla is the perfect place to get an up close and personal experience.
We started with dinner in a field full of grazing Kangaroos, and even shared some of our carrots. (Which, duh, turned out to not be the best idea... See the video at the bottom of this post.) Then we walked along Koala Path where we were able to spot a few snoozing Koalas, and finished our nature experience with a walk through the sanctuary where we were able to spot a couple Platypuses. We finished our day with some playtime on the playground, and a tower of cookies for my Brother's in Law birthday.
