Half a Day in Melbourne // Road Tripping Australia Pt. 2
Next up on our Road Trip agenda was a stop in Melbourne to see some highlights, before making our way to Apollo Bay. I, personally, only had one stop on my must-see list, and my family was kind enough to make it! So, first up, was some time spent at Brighton Beach.
Brighton Beach is an iconic Australian beach lined with colorful huts. The water is calm here, making it the perfect swimming hole for families and those who aren't into waves. I fell in love with it, instantly! All the bright colors, the beautiful water, and the view of the city really made for a spectacular setting.
Next up was lunch at a local hot spot, the Royal Domain Cafe (which was amazing!), and then the Shrine of Remembrance War Memorial, for some more sight seeing. The views from the Memorial were truly stunning, as it overlooks the long, green park, and straight into the heart of Melbourne. We spent a good amount of time soaking in those views, before packing up the cars, quickly stopping to see St. Paul's Cathedral, then continuing on our way.
