How I Did My Own Bridal Makeup // Wedding Tutorial
If you’ve been following me for a while, then you might remember that I am a licensed esthetician and makeup artist. I used to do makeup for photoshoots, runway shows, tv spots, and of course weddings. Wedding makeup was my favorite and what I did most frequently. I loved making a bride feel her best on her wedding day, and enhancing the natural beauty she already possessed.
When it came time to plan my own wedding, I went back and forth on whether or not I should do my own makeup or hire another artist to do it for me. I loved the idea of “being the bride” and being able to sit back and relax while another artist worked her magic. However, in the end, I decided that I knew my face best and would feel more comfortable with how I looked if I did my own makeup. Yes, it added more to my plate, but I truly love how it turned out and feel like I made the right decision!
This look is honestly very simple. I wanted the look to be natural and minimal while having that “oomph” a bridal look needs. To be honest, I used my fingers for a lot of the application process and stuck with colors I knew I loved. This look could truly be worn any day, not just for a wedding, so I decided to share the process with you!
Let me know if you give this look, or elements from it, a try! I’d love to see how it turns out.
