Solo Hawaii Adventure Pt. 2
On my second (and last) day in Hawaii, I wanted to make sure I did some more rugged exploring. So I ended up booking a ticket for the jungle tour at Kualoa Ranch for later that afternoon. This gave me time to pack up, and check off a few other items on my to-do list before heading over.
First up was a stop back at the food truck park in Kahuku! It was around lunch time, so I decided to start off with a (seriously) fresh coconut water, straight from the coconut, then I grabbed some yellow Thai curry for lunch, both of which were amazing! After my meal, I drove over to the Laie Temple & Visitors' Center where I spent a good amount of time taking in the gorgeous gardens, visitor's center, and beautiful temple.
Finally the time came for me to head over to Kualoa Ranch for my Jurassic Jungle Expedition Tour, and I was so excited! After exploring the ranch, I climbed aboard the tour jeep, making sure to grab a front row seat, and we were off. Here I was able to see a bunch of film sights from various movies, including the new Jumanji and Jurassic World, as well as learn more about the history of the island and take in its beauty from a higher perspective.
Once my tour ended, I decided to take advantage of the time I had left and head over to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The park was quieting down by the time I arrived, but I really enjoyed wandering through the villages and having it all to myself. I ended up grabbing some dinner in the park, as well as desert, before driving down to my accommodations for the night, and settling in early so I could catch my morning flight to Australia.
Even though it was a short stay, I had so much fun exploring by myself for a couple of days. If there were ever an easy place to take a solo trip, it would have to be Hawaii!
Have you ever traveled solo? I'd love to hear all about it!
