Southern California Road Trip Pt. 1 // Disneyland
During the month of August, I was house sitting for a friend of mine in Ojai, California (posts coming soon). As the month drew to a close, I began planning my road trip home. But of course, I'm not the type of person to take the shortest route from point A to point B; I'm the type who will take the longest route possible and see all that there is to see. My friend Brandi was able to join me in this adventure, and I could not have asked for a better travel buddy!
Stop number one was, of course, Disneyland! Out of all our stops, we were most excited for this one. (Can you blame us?) We were determined to take full advantage of our time at the most magical place on earth, and it's safe to say we accomplished that goal.
Our first evening in Anaheim, after checking into our Anaheim Airbnb and resting a bit (more on that later), was spent browsing the shops of Downtown Disney. We both stocked up on our Disneyland looks and prepped for the next two days with some fun souvenir shopping. We went back and forth on which park we should visit the next day, and ultimately decided on Disneyland.
We got to the park as early as we could, me with my Minnie Mouse ears and Brandi with her vintage Mickey Mouse t-shirt. We took picture after picture, enjoyed the incredibly cool weather, and couldn't contain our excitement that we almost had the park to ourselves! We were able to walk onto every ride, including Splash Mountain where my camera almost died by drowning (it luckily made a miraculous recovery - which I will forever be grateful for)! After riding every ride - some multiple times - we finished our day off with a great view of Fantasmic and more than enough sweet treats to satisfy us both.

Needless to say, it was so hard to leave the park after such a great day. But with both of us unable to walk any farther, we returned to our Airbnb for some rest, excited for the next day's adventures...
