With Halloween right around the corner, I took it upon myself to start the neighborhood BOO'ing! It's one of my favorite Halloween traditions, probably because I have fond memories from when my sister's and I would BOO our neighbors. I also loved being a part of my nieces and nephew's BOO'ing experiences! It's just a fun way to spend time with family and create community!
This year I wanted my BOO Kit to be something creative and reminiscent of some of my favorite Fall movies. So I decided on a spooky spell book box - the perfect way to gift some goodies! I filled my BOO Kit with MARS® Candy and some American Greetings seasonal items to top it off! Here's how I made my spooky spell book...
First, here is what you will need to create your BOO Kit:
- MARS® Candy
- A Paper Mache/Cardboard Book Box (I got mine at a craft store)
- Paintable Glue (also craft store)
- Painting Sponge
- Paper Plate (for the glue)
- Tissue Paper
- Hot Glue and/or Your Favorite Craft Glue
- Your Choice of Paint
- Embellishments

This is probably my favorite BOO Kit I've made so far! I love how much it takes me back to my childhood and how easy it was to create! If you're looking for some great BOO Kit filling options, be sure to snag some MARS® Candy at your nearest Walmart (I got mine at the big Halloween display at the front of the store), American Greetings Halloween items, this BOO Card, or even get the Spider-Man Homecoming DVD & Blu-Ray on October 17th at Walmart!
Now, let's do some friendly neighborhood BOO'ing! What will your BOO Kit's look like this year?
