Southern California Road Trip Pt. 7 // Joshua Tree National Park

On our way out of Southern California, Brandi and I made sure we had a day devoted to exploring Joshua Tree National Park. This park had been on my to-see list for a while, so I was excited to finally check it off! Of course, since it was the end of August, we were faced with extremely high temperatures. Luckily for us, not many other people were brave enough to battle the heat that day, and we pretty much had the park to ourselves! 

Our first stop was at the cholla cactus garden, which ended up being my favorite part! These cacti are so unique and to see a whole "garden" of them was breathtaking! We made our way through the rest of the park, stopping when we wanted - but only for short amounts of time as the heat was pretty unbearable - then checked out the visitor center, the local thrift shops, and grabbed some lunch in the town of Joshua Tree, just outside of the park.
